Note:
The main difference between the following very similar tests lies in the types of infections they detect:
Test |
Detected infections |
HBsAg/HCV/HIV/Syphilis Combo Rapid Test Kit |
Hepatitiis B (HBsAg), Hepatitis C (HCV), HIV, Syfilis |
HCV/HIV/Syphilis Combo Rapid Test Kit |
Hepatitis C (HCV), HIV, Syphilis |
- HBsAg/HCV/HIV/Syphilis Combo Rapid Test Kit additionally detects the presence of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), which means that in addition to HCV, HIV, and syphilis, it also allows for the detection of hepatitis B virus infection.
- HCV/HIV/Syphilis Combo Rapid Test Kit does not detect HBsAg and is therefore not intended for the diagnosis of hepatitis B, but only hepatitis C, HIV, and syphilis.
Other characteristics (principle, design, sample collection, interpretation of results, storage, safety precautions) are virtually identical for both tests.
